Using "leftovers" and smaller portions at meals. I recently heard this statistic: a family in the U.S. throws away enough food in one week to feed 25 families! Wow!

How much do vet bills run per dog per year?
I'm considering installing a pellet stove in my great room so that I can lessen the use of my central heat (propane-fueled)!
I buy my produce from the local farm (LaCoe's in Newton) in bulk and freeze it! You'd be amazed at the amoutn of money you save, plus you know it's fresh picked and you are supporting local farmers!
When a lightbulb burns out, replace it with a CFL bulb.
Luvs instead of Pamper's for diapers...both made by P&G...same diaper, jsut a different character on the diaper...
Use less laundry detergent, half the regular amount will work just as well as the full strength amount.
