Cold Season

It's that time of year when everyone seems to be catching a cold or fighting a sinus infection. So, here's a natural tip for treating coughs..."buckwheat honey". Depending on age, 1/2 to 2 teaspoons of honey helps soothe the throat and reduce coughing. Currently, studies are underway evaluating possible benefits with sinus infections too. You can find buckwheat honey in most organic sections of stores. Beware...if there is a "wheat" allergy...AVOID use.

Have asthma and allergies? Here is a new site I just found out about! http://www.airnow.gov. On the site, you can check the Air Quality Index (AQI)for any US area!

If you have anyone w/ mold allergies -- start pro-actively taking allergy meds NOW for the Christmas tree season! Don't bring that tree or garland in if you haven't taken allergy precautions! - Reb
