A Humble Thanksgiving Story

With two days until Thanksgiving, I am reminded of a humbling, personal story about my holiday last year : )

Thanksgiving 2007 was at our house. My mother, brother-in-law and sister-in-law were spending it with us. I'm was feeling really good, turkey was in the oven, desserts were made, everything was under control. All I had to do was get ready. My husband was watching the girls while I was upstairs dressing and "primping". Unbenounced to me, my daughters snuck upstairs and decided it would be really fun to "surprise" mom. Well, they had perfect timing...I was curling my eyelashes at the exact moment they flew through the bathroom door. I don't know what surprised me more, my two little girls or the clump of lashes that I yanked out and saw stuck in the curler !!

Well, I'm happy to report, almost one year later my lashes are intact. Wishing all of you a wonderful Thanksgiving and a piece of advice...lock your door when you're getting ready : )

Judy that is still the funniest story --- I can't believe your restraint. I fear my girls would be in therapy for the guilt!!
