I don't know how many are dealing with asthma issues, but anyone who knows me, knows I'm knee deep in it!
We were at CHOP this week, and I got more good info for allergies and asthma. Above is a link to a great book on asthma. It is called Guide to Asthma and it is written by some doctors from CHOP. (ISBN #0-471-44116-3). It is a great source of information about asthma, how to control it, triggers, etc. I highly recommend it to anyone who is dealing with allergies or asthma.
Also, I added a link for Mothers of Asthmatics too on our chick-link box. If anyone has any tips, links or ideas on the topic -- please pass them along!!

I know we are all familiar with dust mites & allergies. But did you know the most common allergens (causing allergy symptoms and ashma)are dust mites?? Dust mites are defined as mircoscopic creatures related to my personal fav... spiders! They live by the MILLIONS in every home (that number just freaks me out). In fact, most of the dust we see in homes is a collection of enough dead dust mites to be made visible. On a positive note, I just read that using a HEPA filter, dusting, using dust-mite protective covers on beds, etc. can reduce the number of mites by 100 to 1000 fold. I'm off to dust!
