Figuring out what our kids are going to be for halloween is a challenge. However, over the past few years, I've noticed more and more Halloween costumes for adults. You can find them just about everywhere. Adult themes range from political or whimsical to scary or sassy!! Ladies, "to dress or not to dress", that is today's question...

my kids don't even know what they are going to be yet. The last thing you will see is me dressed up for halloween...Although my husband and I did go to a party a few years ago where we had to dress up. I was a bag of leaves. I took a garbage bag and made feet holes at the botton and arm holes int he middle and then tied it so it would stay up over my chest. I filled it with the leaf garland you get at AC Moores and had it all sticking out of the top. I took a mask and covered it in leaves and wore it! No one knew who I was, it was a great costume. I still have the mask and I think my daughter wants to wear it this year.
So, I guess if you ahve a party to go to, dressing up is great, but just to take the kids trick-or-treating, nah...I wouldn't dress us
Your costume sounds great & reminds me of a picture of my mother in a Halloween outfit (years ago). Her and my father dressed up as Adam and Eve - my mother was covered in leaves.
My kids ask me if I'm dressing up every year. I tell them the same thing - I'm going to be what I always am.... a witch (which my husband affectionatly reminds me ryhmes with another choice word).
