Smut-Free Isles by Tracy

New idea to protect the hearts and minds of our children!

One day, while checking out at the grocery store (Weis to be specific), my 1st grader who had recently learned to read looked at the Inquirer or Star or some rag like that and read out loud to me, "Brittany Spears is pregnant again." Well, since then, I've really paid attention to all of the inappropriate headlines on those papers and magazines ("How to give your man what her really wants in the bedroom", etc.) and I often have to turn the magazines over so my kids can't read the smut being forced on them.

Well, today, while I was talking to the Weis manager about another issue, I suggested he create a "smut-free/child-friendly" aisle so that we can check out our groceries withour having to explain to our kids what oral sex is. The manager thought it was a good idea, and wrote it down, but who knows if he will really do anything. In fact, I wrote down the idea and submitted it to their suggestion box months ago, but alas, no smut-free aisle yet. Anyway, maybe if we gang up on him (and all grocery store managers) we could get this acomplished and protect the innocence of our kids!!
