ACLU sues prosecutor over semi-nude cell phone pictures of students | Wilkes-Barre News | The Times Leader
Northeastern PA is making national news again. First we're in the limelight for corrupt judges in Luzerne County. Now, Wyoming County is stiring the pot with potential "sexting" charges of three teenage female Tunkhannock students. See link above...what are your thoughts? Should charges be brought against the girls? Did the prosecutor make appropriate decisions? Should the ACLU be a part of this case? Share your thoughts.

Judy - great post and link. I think the ACLU should be involved for a number of reasons - but not becuase these kids were "forced" to take a class (clearly they need the education and the parents should be grateful that this is caught and there is time to still educate these kids).
I think this is a miscarriage of justice to use this law in this way. This law is for adults who are abusing children - it is not to go after the kids.
On the otherside - I want to know how the schools had access to the phones/pictures. Did they have the authority to take them?
