This term, "economommies", caught my eye in TIME (March 23rd issue). As the economy continues to tank, women are flocking to mom-centric job and career consulting sites; trying to translate maternal skills into corporate skills (e.g., sandbox, 1 toy and 2 toddlers = conflict resolution skills).
There is a new site out there called Mom Corps (http://www.momcorps.com/) in which businesses can list available jobs and women can register for free. The site seemed interesting but a bit scary: in early March, they had 34,000 job hunters and only .... 54 jobs!
Anyone thinking of re-entering the work-world post kids? Anyone have any thoughts or advice to share?

Here is another site similar to the Mom Corp. Geared towards jobs 10-2.

Sorry - just checking the links in the TIME article. Here is a link to another women-friendly site and it has the link to TIME article.
Happy reading! - Reb
As a mom and one who previously worked in management, I believe "conflict resolution", multi-tasking, prioritizing and time management are definitely transferable skills!!!!!!!!!!!!
